School from Hell

Yo! This is the recount of my "oh-so-wonderful" JC life I had. Apparently, I've decided that the short summary would not do it justice, hence I'm posting a recount of my life during the 2 years in MJC...

Word of Caution: This recount is personal and biased. Deal with it.

Lemme see... There are many events that took place during my JC life... For one, I signed up for a lot of science events, like that about mammalian genetics. It was quite cool actually. We get to see how inter-linked our own human genes are with certain animal genes, like mice. For example, some of the illness mice have are actually very similar, if not identical, with some human illness. Thus, from this, scientists were able to identify particular genes that causes diseases in humans by comparing the DNA from the mouse and the human.

Then there is the trip to Melbourne, which I got selected for... (Yippee!!!) I went to Australia to study for 2 weeks in their summer school. It was a very fun event. I interacted with people from Australia (duh...), Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. Besides studying, we also had leadership programmes as well as group outings to malls and stuffs. (P.S. never invite me to go bowling again...) I also tried my hand at basketball... (Save to say, I suck at ball games...) Anyway, I had a lot of fun there. We even went to a ranch (Horsie!!!) and watched the stars, which was much clearer there than in Singapore... *hearts* *hearts* *hearts*

That was pretty much the end of my JC1 life. (If you can call it "life"...) I did pretty well for my exams, meaning I usually pass them with the occasional failure... The start of my JC2 life was much more crazy. First of all, I signed up as a volunteer for the Chingay Parade. (It was amazing!!!) We get to talk to some of the performers and encourage them too! (My station was one of the last stations... So the performers were quite tired by the time they reached us...)

Then I helped my friend out by avocating for the sterilisation of stray cats to prevent overbreeding. (I was one of the team leaders, Yeah!) There's another that is linked to SPCA that I want to sign up for, but no one got back to me... (Zzz...) I even signed up as an usher for the Pre-U seminar, which was a very prestigious event for us JC people. But it was rather tiring too. (I woke up at ungodly hours... As I'm a morning person, it must be very early to be counted as ungodly...) After that began the race for A'levels. It was beyond hectic and stressed... I don't even know if I would do well for my 'A's considering that I screwed up quite a bit of questions...!!! Anyway, it's over now... Thank God!

About my CCA... I was in Dance. It was my Living Hell. JC2 was also the time of my dance concert. And I never wanna join dance again. Zzz... Sad that something I like was utterly destroyed by my school. (of all places...) Anyway, 'till I regain my confidence in myself again, I will stay FAR FAR AWAY from any forms of dance...

Anyway, that's about all for my JC life. Not very exciting huh? Ah well... I was more studious than adventurous... Hopefully, now that I don't need to go back there until the A'levels results are out, I can continue to walk forward. And not look back.
